
Samir Hakooz, Founder
An
international executive skilled in Strategic Leadership and
Global Business Consulting Practice, Samir brings more than
28 years of experience in global business development, strategic
planning, and technical sales and marketing management serving
various industries with high-tech engineered products including
instrumentation, capital and process equipment, software and
services. Samir’s experience covered a wide range of
industries such as chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical,
environmental, steel, oil, utilities, and the U.S. government.
His strength is in technology business development and business
turnaround. He was formerly with ChemFirst as Vice President
of sales and marketing for Callidus Technologies, Inc., and
as President of Plasma Energy Corporation.
Most recently Samir led comprehensive negotiations winning
over $30 million in contracts from Europe, Japan, SE Asia,
and the Middle East. He also led a technology company to profitability
for the first time, after 14 months as its leader. He is multi-lingual
and has extensive experience in change management, restructuring,
and international business negotiations.
Prior to Plasma Energy, Samir was the Vice President of sales
and marketing for General Atomics Electronic Systems Inc.
serving the nuclear industry and the US government with radiation
monitoring and control systems and services.
Samir's list of clients includes Bechtel, GE, Progress Energy,
GlaxoSmithKline, ATT, Duke Power, Nucor, Kawasaki, Kobelco,
Digiton, Westinghouse, ABB, BASF, Aramco, DOE and DOD.
Samir has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree
in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee
- Knoxville and graduated from The Executive Program at University
of North Carolina- Chapel Hill, and The Strategic Planning
Systems Program at MIT.
